Yes, you can use Rid O' Rust to remove driveway rust and rust stains on concrete. Our products are the best for treating and removing driveway rust, especially rust stains on concrete.
Yes you can use GrassSoGreen liquid fertilizer. GrassSoGreen and Rid O' Rust are the only chemicals approved for use in an American Hydro Systems feeder system.
You should not use Rid O' Rust Powder or Liquid Stain Removers in a pressure washer. Our product works by "surface action" not abrasion. We would advise using a trigger type household or garden type pump sprayer and leaving the stain coated for several minutes.
1) Select the right formulation based on your intended application
2) Clean existing rust stains with Rid O' Rust® Rust Stain Remover
3) Install the Rid O' Rust® feeder system
4) Pour the recommended amount of Rid O' Rust® formula in the feeder tank (refer to the Rid O' Rust Dosage Chart.)
5) Fill the rest of the tank up with treated water.
General applications: Rid O' Rust® Rust Stain Remover removes well water rust stains from most exterior surfaces including aluminum, vinyl, wood, and metal siding, concrete (including driveway rust), masonry, stucco, brick, paint, fiberglass, stone, plastic, asphalt, driveways, sidewalks, poolside, decks, fences, boats, docks and much more. Test a small area before applying.

Mixing: The powder format must be mixed first. Mix 12 oz of powder to 1 gal of warm water. Add a drop of dish soap for added cleaning power. The liquid format is already premixed.

1) Apply Rid O' Rust® Rust Stain Remover with a roller, cloth, brush or spray. No scrubbing required.
2) Repeat for heavy deposits or if wind/temperature dries solution too quickly.
3) Promptly and thoroughly rinse sprayed area and plant/lawn of any overspray with fresh water.

Usage around a garden / landscaping: The Rid O' Rust rust stain remover is made with an organic acid that can cause skin irritation during application but will not harm your plants. Once flushed off plants, they should be safe to eat.

* Do not apply to paint stains or brick that contains iron oxide pigments.
* Before applying to any surface, test an inconspicuous area and allow drying to avoid potential damage. With normal applications, overspray will not harm lawns or plants.

Note that we never recommend that our customers use our products for anything other than what the label describes. We are not responsible for any damages that may be caused while experimenting the product.
There are two water conditions that will prevent the formula from working.
1. The irrigation water is oxidized before the injection point.
2. The well water has iron bacteria in it.
If you are using a Rid O' Rust system, it is not likely the system caused your plants to wilt. The white film is likely caused by calcium or salt in the well water.

We would recommend having the well water tested.
Hardness is a chemical parameter of water that represents the total concentration of calcium and magnesium ions. It is called hardness because if calcium and magnesium are present in your water, making a lather or suds for washing is "hard" to do.

Another negative aspect of hard water is the capacity to produce scale, primarily caused by calcium and magnesium salts. Hardness is usually expressed in grains per gallon or parts per million (ppm) as calcium carbonate equivalent. Hard water is anything over 15 Grains Per Gallon.
Iron content is measured in parts per million (ppm). Ferrous iron mixes with oxygen to form ferric iron, also know as rust. One part per million will produce noticeable rust stains within one month in irrigation systems.
The pH scale ranges from 0 on the acidic end to 14 on the alkaline end. A solution is considered neutral if its pH is 7. A reading lower than 7 is acidic and higher than 7 is alkaline.
If your injection system does not appear to be working because the tank stays full, please make sure that the injection pump is actually plugged into a power source and the power is switched to "on."

Scenario 1: tank stays full - Try taking the tube that runs down the inside of the tank apart from the elbow at the top. Tap this against the side of the tank until you hear it make a rattling noise. Sometimes if the tank is ran completely empty, the ball suctions to the line and prevents any chemical flow. If this doesn't work, it is highly likely that the metering jet has become blocked. Please contact your local irrigation expert to purchase one.

Scenario 2: tank empties too fast - This usually means the metering jet has gone bad. Please contact your local irrigation expert to purchase one.
